  1. Thank you for this great article. I am a board member of Coast Life Support District and know the need for affordable workforce housing. I am working on planning and holding a workshop regarding our employee housing needs. If you are interested, please contact me at [email protected]

  2. Very sad, BUT: Hooray for the person who sold their home! And yay to the person who bought it! Enjoy that quaint coastal town, where the people who actually contribute to the community have to keep moving out because they’re being steadily displaced by wealthy people in search of more vacation homes. Yippie skippie free market! Capitalism is the best! Woo!

    • It really has nothing to do with capitalism but a lack of basic national security that allows wealthy foreign nationals to purchase coastal real estate… and then leave the real estate empty. It is economic warfare … Chinese nationals are driving the housing problem and it’s actually discussed by their own military: unrestricted warfare. Progressive activists don’t think logically about such matters and that’s why the CCP leadership calls you “useful idiots” . You have no idea how much worse a system can be after capitalism. It is corporatism and Adventist, sadly, has been part of advancing this fascist ideology with masks and phony compassion for the poor which they are not paying out of pocket to help. The extremely high taxes that workers can not afford are paying for healthcare and education of all these people. Perhaps Adventist could donate real estate instead of this useless residency program with perverted residents seducing their patients before leaving the area since they don’t give a crap about the “community”
