MENDOCINO Co., 8/23/23 — Save the Redwoods League announced this week that the conservation non-profit has secured the purchase of Weger Ranch, a 3,862 acre property consisting of coast redwood and Douglas-fir forests adjacent to the Montgomery Woods State Natural Reserve. The plan to conserve the property was first announced last October, and the purchase is part of a larger initiative to protect Montgomery Woods, and part of the 40,974 acres protected by Save the Redwoods League within Mendocino County.
