Synopsis:

On 10-24-2016 at about 9:50 PM, Mendocino County Deputies were dispatched to a reported burglary in progress at a business in the 75000 block of north Highway 101 in Piercy, California. Deputies were advised the owner of the business was on his way to the business and was armed with a firearm. When Deputies arrived they learned the suspect, Clayton David Southwick, was being detained at gun point by the owner. Southwick was subsequently placed in handcuffs and detained. Deputies learned Southwick had entered the store’s rear door and was taking items when he was confronted by the owner.

Synopsis:
On 09-20-2016 at approximately 9:44 AM Mendocino County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a burglary at Round Valley Towing in Covelo, California. After arriving at the location the Deputies discovered the KYBU Radio station in Covelo had also been broken into and the Western Auto in Covelo had been vandalized. Deputies investigated the burglaries and vandalisms and ultimately found security camera footage leading to the identification of Michael Freeman as being the person responsible for the crimes. Deputies later contacted Freeman and arrested him for burglary, felony vandalism and violation of probation. Freeman was booked into the Mendocino County Jail where he was to be held in lieu of $50,000.00 bail.

Synopsis:
On 09-16-2016 Mendocino County Sheriff Deputies took a report of a lost wallet, where the victim stated that her credit cards had been used, charging over $200.00 onto the credit cards. Deputies investigated further and determined the purchases were at several different locations throughout the Willits area. Deputies subsequently determined Lauren Wilburn and Thomas Duerner were responsible for the fraudulent charges onto the credit card. On 09-16-2016 at approximately 2:00 PM Mendocino County Sheriff Deputies located Wilburn and Duerner driving in their vehicle in the City of Willits.  Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Main Street and Baechtel Street. Deputies continued their investigation and found Wilburn and Duerner to still be in possession of the victim’s credit card.
