The Ukiah Valley Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency is seeking public comment for its groundwater sustainability plan through Friday, informational meeting happening Tuesday.
The Ukiah Valley Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency met yesterday to discuss groundwater regulation in their first meeting in three months.
As required by state regulations, the County is putting together a twenty year plan to manage groundwater in the Ukiah Valley.
The era of unlimited groundwater is over in the Ukiah basin. Starting in 2022, a plan to regulate the crucial water source will be implemented — the Groundwater Sustainability Agency introduced it’s plan to the public for the first time last Tuesday.
