The Board of Supervisors declared a drought emergency at their meeting on Tuesday. The declaration qualifies the state to apply for certain state and federal grants that can help lessen the impacts of the drought.
On Monday, the Board of Supervisors and County water managers met to discuss the desperate drought conditions in Mendocino. Water leaders from across the county presented on issues from water shutoffs, to trucking in water ,and discussed ways to work together moving forward.
