Watch the Mendocino County supervisors & Ukiah City Council debates Oct. 5 & 8! (updated w/ video)

UPDATED 10/16/20 — The District 2 supervisor candidates forum scheduled for October 19 has been cancelled, as Mari Rodin could not participate due to health reasons. Here’s more information and a statement from the candidates.

MENDOCINO Co., 8/4/20 — If you’re undecided about who to vote for on a local level, a debate is a great way to get a feel for the candidates, and we will be hosting the Mendocino County supervisorial & Ukiah City Council forums Oct. 5 & 8 at 7 p.m., in conjunction with the Ukiah Daily Journal, the American Association of the University Women, & the Mendocino Women’s Political Coalition.

SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICTS 1 & 2

We had originally planned to host forums for both District 1 and District 2 on Monday, Oct. 5. However, candidate Mari Rodin suffered an unexpected medical issue and the District 2 forum is being rescheduled to later in the month. We will proceed with the District 1 forum, featuring Glenn McGourty and Jon Kennedy. We will also give Councilwoman Maureen Mulheren time to make a comment, and a proxy for former councilwoman Mari Rodin will also make a statement.

Then on October 8, at 7 p.m. we will be hosting a forum of all seven candidates for the Ukiah City Council, moderated by K.C. Meadows of The Ukiah Daily Journal.
