The Fort Bragg City Council downgraded the city’s water emergency from a Stage 4 water crisis to a Stage 2 water alert because the city’s 22.6 million gallon reservoir is at capacity and the desalination unit is now operational.
The Fort Bragg City Council voted unanimously on Monday to upgrade its drought emergency to Stage 4, which will require residents and businesses to conserve 10% more water than they already have been.
Fort Bragg is in a water emergency. And climate scientists say it won’t be the last.
