Nonprofit seeks help buying 5 miles of Mendocino coastline to restore old growth
Save the Redwoods League announced Thursday it had secured an agreement to buy 5 square miles of undeveloped coastline in northern Mendocino County from timber company Soper-Wheeler, but the nonprofit will only be able to purchase the 3,181-acre property if it can raise the $36.9 million asking price by Dec. 31.

Mendocino County joins coalition to accelerate geothermal development
