MENDOCINO CO., 11/20/24 – There is never a shortage of generosity during the holidays in Mendocino County, and this Thanksgiving is no exception.
As with every year, volunteers will gather at organizations across the county to serve free meals to their neighbors. Three free Thanksgiving meals are offered this year. Volunteers are also needed.

Fort Bragg
The First Presbyterian Church of Fort Bragg (367 S. Sanderson Way) will host its annual Thanksgiving dinner for residents residing on the coast from Albion to Westport. The church offers in-person, curbside pick-up and delivery of Thanksgiving meals. Reservations are required. Delivery is available from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., curbside pickup at the church from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., and in-person dining takes place at 12:30 p.m. Reservations must be made by Friday, Nov. 22. Ukiah
Plowshares (1346 S. State. St., Ukiah) hosts its annual Thanksgiving meal with turkey, potatoes, stuffing, green beans, fried onions, rolls, cranberry sauce and pie. Meals will be served at Plowshares Community Dining room from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Meals on Wheels recipients will receive meals delivered to their homes at their regular schedules. Willits
Willits Community Services and Food Bank hosts its 35th annual Thanksgiving dinner at the Willits Harrah Senior Center (1501 Baechtel Rd.). Each guest receives a full Thanksgiving meal with all the fixings and dessert. Everyone is welcome, no questions asked. The meal is from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Call (707) 459-3333 for more information.
