MENDOCINO Co., 11/02/19 — At least once a year, due to the vast geography that encompasses Mendocino County, the Board of Supervisors holds a regular board meeting on the coast, and this week, the supervisors will not only be on the coast, they will be considering issues important to coastal residents.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 5, beginning at 9 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church Parish Hall, 10700 Lansing Street, in Mendocino. There will be two timed discussions: the cannabis ordinance proposals will begin at 10 a.m., and the discussions concerning the PG&E power shut-offs will begin at 3:30 p.m.
Luckily for coast residents, they will not have to travel over the hill as usual to provide public comment on matters that hit close to home — topics for the meeting include proposed ordinances to create regulations for cannabis cultivation and commercial cannabis facilities within the coastal zone, and a proposed coastal zone amendment regarding accessory dwelling units. The supervisors will also take on a number of agenda items related to the recent power shut-offs, more about that here.
Here’s where you can find the full agenda for the meeting, with all the relevant documents, as well as the full meeting announcement:
Mendocino County Board of Supervisors to Hold November 5 Board Meeting in the Town of Mendocino
Post Date: 11/01/2019 1:11 PM
On November 5, 2019, the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors will hold an offsite regular meeting at St. Anthony’s Church Parish Hall, 10700 Lansing Street, in Mendocino. The Board meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
Carre Brown, Board Chair, shared the following comments: “Meeting in the districts outside of Ukiah gives our residents an opportunity to attend the Board of Supervisors meetings in person and to participate. The November 5 agenda has several items of interest to Coastal communities and Supervisors do need to hear directly from constituents on the coast. We anticipate and hope that many members of the public will attend!”
The public is welcome and invited to attend every Board meeting. Board meeting agendas are posted online at https://mendocino.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx. For more information, please contact the Executive Office at (707) 463-4441.
