UPDATED 6:25p.m. — The evacuation warning has been lifted, according to a MCSO Nixle alert.
UPDATED 5 p.m. — The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office has ordered an evacuation warning for one portion of Road E in Redwood Valley through the Nixle emergency alert system. The order covers 2100 to 2500 Road E. The warning is not a mandatory order, but an advisory to stay alert to changing conditions and asks to relocate if they feel unsafe.

Update 4:45 p.m. — PG&E crews are on the way to address the downed electrical line in the area. Please avoid the area to allow emergency responders to get through, there are temporary traffic controls in place on Road E and a portion of the road is currently closed.
MENDOCINO Co., 11/6/18 — A house and barn are burning in the 2300 block of Road E in Redwood Valley. According to scanner traffic the barn is fully involved and spreading into a nearby residential structure. A large number of engines from Redwood Valley Fire, Cal Fire and Ukiah Valley Fire are all responding.
There are power lines down in the vicinity that pose a threat, and some ammunition in the building, and firefighters have been warned that there is a “life safety hazard.”
So far there is no indication that the fire has spread into any vegetation. As of 4:25 p.m. additional units are being called for and a road closure was being ordered for the section of Road E on either side of the fire.
