FORT BRAGG, CA., 10/7/26 — Learn how to build a community-made, nature-inspired electronic drum kit. Under the guidance of biosound artist Scott Kidall, with help from Anne Beck, participants will collect materials such as acorns, sticks and leaves along the Pacific Coast Trail. After gathering the materials, the participants will return to the museum and we will use these to make our own instruments such as rattles, stick taps, shakers and more. We will then record each of them, and construct an electronic drum kit.

Each participant will be responsible for an individual component, ie: snare, base and more in a nature-inspired set of drums. Kidall will mix the components and upload it to a central website so that participants can access the group drum kit to play with it and share it online.
