UKIAH, CA., 9/15/26 — If you’re looking for a sweet, happy, high-energy adventure buddy, Pepita is the girl for you! This adorable Kelpie mix is about a year old and seems to wake up every morning ready to ask, “So…what’s on the fun agenda today?” Pepita is full of personality, loves being on the go, and would thrive with an active family who can keep her body and busy, uber-intelligent Kelpie brain entertained. Walks, hikes, playtime, canine training and adventures are all right up her alley. When meeting other dogs, Pepita can be a little vocal and frustrated if she can’t immediately say hello. However, she lived successfully with another female dog and tested well with a large male dog. She’ll likely benefit from slow, appropriate introductions and continued guidance with her dog-to-dog manners. Pepita does have a prey drive toward small animals, so a home without cats or other small pets would be the safest fit. Underneath all that energy is a sweet, joyful girl ready to have fun and find her person.
