MENDOCINO CO., 4/29/25 – Protests will take place Thursday across Mendocino County as part of what is expected to be over 900 nationwide demonstrations for May Day.
The demonstrations are in response to the policies of President Donald Trump’s second administration.
Over 160 grassroots organizations across the country formed a coalition called May Day Strong to promote the events.
“Trump and his billionaire profiteers are trying to create a race to the bottom — on wages, on benefits, on dignity itself. This May Day we are fighting back,” the coalition said. “We are demanding a country that puts our families over their fortunes — public schools over private profits, healthcare over hedge funds, prosperity over free market politics.”
Since Trump’s inauguration in January, protests have been organized almost weekly across the country by grassroots groups, including activist groups and chapters based in Mendocino County.
Earlier this month, protests across the country drew thousands to the streets of Ukiah, Fort Bragg and Point Arena. Last week, a demonstration was held at the Social Security Administration office in Ukiah.
Protests on will take place in Fort Bragg, Willits and Ukiah.

Donald Trump loves these protesters as it is visual proof for his cult that they are owning the libs.
Where were you when Nancy Pelosi and her husband were using insider knowledge to get rich on investments? Oh right she is a Democrat and that makes it okay.
A bunch of spoiled elites pretending to care about the working class while actively working against them. They look exactly as you’d expect.
Must have time on their hands to waste. My husband and I will be at the one in Lakeport on Thursday, but we will be across the street with our Trump flag, hats etc. See you there🥰
Thank you. You make us proud.
