UKIAH, CA. 3/5/25 – Two people were arrested in Ukiah for alleged possession of a stolen vehicle last week, police said. 

According to the Ukiah Police Department, Flock Safety license plate reader cameras picked up a Honda HR-V driving around Ukiah last Thursday morning. The Honda’s license plate matched a vehicle reported stolen by the Eureka Police Department.   

There are 14 license plate reader cameras that the department operates in the city to help solve crimes. 

Officers located the vehicle driving south on North State Street and pulled it over. They found five individuals were in the vehicle, with a female driver and a male in the passenger seat.  

Ukiah police confirmed with the Eureka Police Department that the female driver and male passenger were suspected of being involved in the vehicle theft.  

The male, 18-year-old Ahmarri Brown of Eureka, was arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without owner consent. The 17-year-old female was arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle.
