MENDOCINO CO., 11/5/24 – PG&E confirmed that power will be shut off for a small number of customers southeast of Hopland along the Mendocino-Sonoma County border starting 11 p.m. Wednesday.

In response, the County of Mendocino is offering free go bags to those impacted.

The go bags have necessities to help customers stay safe during the outage, including flashlights, first aid supplies and other items.

The planned outage is due to increased risk of fire weather due to high winds which may bring gusts up to 50 mph to the area. This is the second time this year that the same customers had their power shut off – the first time was in mid-October.

If you are impacted by the shutoff, visit Hopland Fire Station at 21 Feliz Creek Rd., Hopland, to receive your free go bag.
