WILLITS, 10/7/20 — It’s been a seismically active week in central Mendocino County, with a cluster or swarm of small quakes hitting in the Pine Mountain area between Willits, Potter Valley, and Redwood Valley. This morning at 10:29 a.m. a quake measuring 3.2 in magnitude hit Pine Mountain, with it’s epicenter under 2.7 miles under Redwood Creek Rd. (about a mile west and uphill from Tomki Rd.).
Another notable quake, a 2.8 in magnitude, rattled almost the exact same area yesterday at 5:55 p.m. with its epicenter 3.1 miles below the surface of the earth.
