MENDOCINO Co., 11/23/19 — Enjoy a new wintertime tradition with the third annual Caminata de Luces, held the first Friday of December on the Ukiah portion of the prospective Great Redwood Trail organized by Walk & Bike Mendocino.
The event will take place December 6, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with thousand of paper bag luminarias between Gobbi and Perkins Streets, live music, food and beverages, activities at the Grace Hudson Museum, and even more art events and a raffle as part of First Friday Art Walk in Ukiah.

Caminata de Luces – Friday December 6th, 5-8 pm
The 3rd Annual Caminata de Luces is returning on the first Friday of December on the Great Redwood Trail-Ukiah. For the Caminata de Luces the trail will be sparkling with a thousand paper bag luminarias and “fairy lights” in the trees. The lights will be concentrated between Gobbi and Perkins with activities at the Grace Hudson Museum. You can be part of the event by making and bringing a luminaria to share or by putting lights on your bike or yourself. Live music, hot beverages, and food trucks will be stationed at the Historic Railroad Depot for your enjoyment. Consider bringing a gift to donate to the Ukiah Valley Christmas Effort, and visit three or more Friday Locations for a chance to win a raffle prize.
The event is hosted by Ukiah Vecinos en Accion, Mariposa Institute, North Coast Opportunities, Walk & Bike Mendocino, Grace Hudson Museum, Ukiah Valley Networking Agency, Ukiah Valley Christmas Effort, and the First Friday Art Walk.
