Man allegedly runs down another with his car in Ukiah

UKIAH, CA., 6/5/19 — A Ukiah man has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon* after he allegedly ran down another man in the street with his car in retaliation for “unwanted sexual advances” on his female companion, according to a statement from the Ukiah Police Department (UPD) today.

The incident took place on Tuesday, June 3, on the 200 block of Brush Street. UPD arrived at the scene shortly after noon to find the victim, a 27 year old white man from Ukiah, bleeding from lacerations to his neck. The victim told officers that he had been run down by the suspect, Kyle Yarnell, a 27 year old white man from Ohio, while walking in a commercial driveway. UPD officers then received a call concerning damage to a vehicle on Ford Road, and subsequently found the suspect along with his female partner.
