MENDOCINO CO., 4/27/19 — A hunting club in the Potter Valley is conducting a controlled burn that has thrown up a tall but narrow plume of smoke that is visible from Ukiah to Potter Valley at least. Today is a sanctioned burn day.
The Redwood Valley Fire Department has confirmed that this is a controlled burn, and is being managed. The burn is likely an area of vegetation, not a pile, but the exact nature of it is unclear.
