Mendocino County Office of Education Hosts Job Fair This Saturday
Press release
Ukiah, CA – The Mendocino County Office of Education (MCOE) hosts its annual Mendocino County Education Jobs Fair this Saturday, March 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at its Ukiah campus located at 2240 Old River Road. Mendocino and Lake County schools are hoping to fill approximately 50 job vacancies.
Human Resources Manager Donna Walter said, “Local schools employ people with a wide variety of skills and talents. Do you have clerical or accounting skills? Do you have experience in building and grounds maintenance? Do you know how to repair or drive a bus? Can you prepare meals for hungry students? Are you thinking of becoming a teacher, but want to first experience the classroom environment? Are you a medical assistant, registered nurse, or physical therapist? We need all these people!”
Mendocino County schools employ more than 3,500 people countywide. For those interested in earning a teaching credential, Northern California colleges and university programs will be on hand to talk with applicants about teaching credential requirements and opportunities to acquire additional job skills. The fair will feature open positions for educators and administrators, as well as in clerical and accounting, food service, groundskeeping, janitorial, and more.
Walter said, “If you want a job that helps empower youth with the skills and opportunities they need to build a better future for themselves, their communities, and the world, join us.”
