Hello Readers,
Although the news never stops, reporters and journalists from time to time need a break. For the next week the Mendocino Voice staff will be on a short hiatus to recover, work on some behind the scenes improvements to the website and social media, report on some bigger in-depth stories, do a little home remodeling, and some paying side-work.
But while we’re gone, and retooling a bit, please fill out this survey, so we can better understand what you want as readers, and what kind of news will best serve the community (scroll down for survey).
In the future we’d like to hire more freelancers, and even full-time staff, to provide you with more and continuous coverage. One way you can help us reach that goal is by supporting us on Patreon. If you are a local business owner, we’d also like to partner with you and encourage you to check out our advertising options.
We’ll still cover any really big breaking stories but you might notice a slow down on our daily reporting and postings on social media. We love providing you with high quality local reporting and will be back to our normal schedule in about a week.
We’re still a young organization (two years), with a small staff trying to cover all the bases, and there’s a bunch of behind the scenes things that need to be taken care of as we build ourselves into a news service that is truly for all of Mendocino.
And as always, thanks for reading!
Yours,
Managing Editor
A.F. Baumann
