UPDATE 10/31/18 — The final acreage of the fire was one half acre.

ORIGINAL

MENDOCINO CO., 10/30/18 — A small vegetation fire has broken out east of Potter Valley a couple miles up Pine Ave., east from East Valley Rd. The fire is between one and two acres in size, with a slow rate of spread — a few fire engines, and a dozer, are already on the scene. The fire broke out around 5:30 p.m., and though it has not been official controlled and contained, as of about 6:30 p.m. the incident command has already canceled their request for some resources, which is a good sign.

The fire is being called the Pine Incident.
