ORIGINAL:
MENDOCINO Co., 8/1/17 — A major crash on Hwy. 101, about five miles north of Cloverdale, may have resulted in a death. The crash occurred around 6pm, near the intersection with Geyser Rd., between Cloverdale and Hopland, just north of the Mendocino-Sonoma county line. Traffic was blocked but is moving slowly as of about 8:00pm.
The California Highway Patrol’s online dispatch record reports one person lying in the road way immediately after the accident, and a “Poss 1144,” meaning a possible fatality, though that has not been confirmed.
