UKIAH, 5/15/2015 — The Ukiah Police Department reported that a 33-year-old man was stabbed on Observatory Avenue in the very early morning hours on Saturday. According to a press release he was stabbed multiple times but lived, and police are now searching for a suspect in the assault.

Press Release: Subject stabbed and transported to out of area hospital
UPD case # 17-1362On May 13th at about 3am, a UPD officer was dispatched to Ukiah Valley Medical Center for a report of an assault. Upon arrival the officer contacted a 33-year-old male victim, who was being treated by hospital staff for multiple stab wounds. The male victim reported that prior to being transported to the hospital he was in the 200 block of Observatory Avenue, near an apartment complex, when he was stabbed from behind. The victim was stabbed multiple times and could not provide a description of his attacker. Due to the severity of the victim’s injuries, he was transported to an out of area hospital. Officers responded to the location where the stabbing reportedly had occurred and located the crime scene, which was processed for evidence. UPD Detectives are currently investigating the stabbing.
