MENDOCINO Co., 4/26/2017 — The sun is finally here, and gardening enthusiasts around the county will have a chance to stock up on plants this weekend. The following is an incomplete roundup of springtime plant sales, from Weathertop Nursery in Laytonville to the Nye Ranch in Fort Bragg. Lurane Cassidy, owner of Weathertop, says the heavy rains mean this should be a great year for planting fruit trees and perennials. The roses, she adds, have leafed out beautifully.
