MENDOCINO Co., 7/8/24 – The heatwave will continue for parts of inland Mendocino County, with some areas forecast to hit 109 degrees this week.
As a result of the continued heat wave, the National Weather Service Eureka (NWS Eureka) has extended the excessive heat warning through 9 p.m. July 12. Areas under the warning include Laytonville, Leggett, Covelo, Potter Valley, Redwood Valley, Ukiah, Talmage, Hopland Piercy, Calpella and Willits. If you plan to escape to Lake County to enjoy the cool water, take note: Clearlake, Middletown and Lakeport are also under the warning.
