WILLITS, CA., 8/11/26 — A Willits business owner will host an event Thursday morning featuring state officials and small business advocates aiming to raise awareness of a no-cost state business advising program.
Success, Capital Access and Leadership for Entrepreneurs, or SCALE, is a state-backed program that has connected 13,500 businesses with no-cost business advising since 2024, according to Cameo Network, a small business-development firm which announced the event.
On Thursday, Anton O’Hanlon, owner of Artefex, an art preservation business in Willits, will host Elmy Bermejo, director of the California Office of the Small Business Advocate, which oversees the business advising program, to raise awareness of the program and how small businesses can benefit from it.
On Thursday, O’Hanlon will explain how he used the program to get business coaching and affordable capital from local West Business Development Center, which helps develop small businesses through community lending.
The event will also feature Carolina Martinez, CEO of Cameo Network, and Sarah Bodnar, CEO of West Business Development Center.
