Dear Editor:
When I was contemplating whether to run for another term or not, I was looking for someone who could step up and take my place. I talked with many people. I encouraged both Buffey Wright Bourassa and Eric Hart to run. Now that they are both in the general election, a vote for one of them needs to happen. Both candidates have worked hard for the past 9 months. After much consideration, I am voting for Eric Hart.
I make this decision based on what I have learned in my 8 years as the 3rd District Supervisor. The district needs a person who can listen to all sides of an issue and act in the best interest of the residents. Through his involvement in the Grand Jury, Fire Safe Councils, and many other civic organizations, Eric is ready to get to work on Day 1. Independence and integrity are key qualities.
Eric Hart has earned my vote because I feel that he truly cares about all of the 3rd District and Mendocino County. Eric has called me many times asking for the history and thinking on certain topics, wanting to know how and why decisions were made. He is a policy wonk who truly cares about finding the path that best represents the people.
Please join me in voting for Eric Hart for 3rd District Supervisor.
