MENDOCINO CO., 10/5/26 — Cal Fire crews responded Monday morning to a vegetation fire in a remote area of Mendocino County near Fort Bragg.
Engines, a bulldozer and a hand crew were dispatched starting around 9:30 a.m. to a fire off a logging road, according to emergency radio traffic. About 10:20 a.m., radio traffic indicated additional engines and a hand crew were requested to the fire.
Sherry Wise of the Cal Fire Mendocino Unit said Monday morning that the agency was still gathering information about the fire.
The size of the fire, the cause and whether any structures were threatened were not immediately known.
This is a developing story.
Well that’s just a whole lot of information. Where?
Watch duty has nothing for some reason.
