POINT ARENA, CA., 7/30/26 — Ukiah Waste Solutions and Mendocino Solid Waste Management Authority will dispose of hazardous waste at Arena Cove for free next weekend, the city of Point Area announced.
The Haz-Mobile, or mobile household hazardous waste drop-off, will be at Arena Cove in Point Arena next Friday and Saturday, the city said. Up to 15 gallons of waste per vehicle, by container size, can be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Aug. 7 and 8.
Accepted items include motor oil, oil filters, gasoline, solvents, paint, acids, bases, batteries, herbicides, pesticides, medication and more. The full list is available at MendoRecycle.org.
Businesses requiring commercial hazardous waste disposal must make an appointment ahead of time by calling Ukiah Waste Solutions at 707-234-6400.
