MENDOCINO CO., 8/24/26 — International Overdose Awareness Day is Aug. 31, and in recognition, events are planned for this week to bring communities in Mendocino County together to remember those lost to or impacted by substance use disorder, and raise awareness for hope, recovery and available resources.

Adventist Health announced a series of events Wednesday and Thursday at the several hospitals the provider owns. The announcement asked those who attend to wear purple in solidarity.
