MENDOCINO CO., 8/23/26 — The 50th annual Great Day in Elk will be held on Saturday, Aug. 29, from noon until 11 p.m., a benefit for the Greenwood Community Center and a wholesome event for the entire family.
The noontime parade will travel through downtown Elk to the community center. All afternoon there will be games and contests with prizes, do-it-yourself crafts projects for children, plus a greased pole with a $100 bill at the top.
