FORT BRAGG, CA., 7/29/26 — The city of Fort Bragg will host a series of informational community events starting this week where residents can learn and ask questions about the city’s new fiber broadband network, which is near completion and almost ready to provide internet service.

The city’s new fiber broadband project Fort Bragg Fiber is nearing completion after months of construction. The city will host four informational events starting Thursday where the team behind the project will help teach residents about it and answer questions, as well as show some of the equipment that brings internet to homes.

At the events, Fort Bragg residents will be able to add their address to a growing pre-registration list, which ensures a spot among the first scheduled installations, the city said. Residents can also sign up anytime at mcn.org/signup

Fort Bragg Fiber will be part of the Mendocino Community Network, which is owned and operated by the city of Fort Bragg. The city said Fort Bragg Fiber will offer plans starting at $50 per month with no contracts, no data caps, no equipment or installation fees.

The first event will be Thursday from 4-6 p.m. at Town Hall, 363 N. Main St.

The following events will be Monday at C.V. Starr Community Center at 300 S. Lincoln St. from 12-2 p.m., Tuesday at the National Night Out event at City Hall at 416 N. Franklin St. from 5-8 p.m. and Aug. 24 at the C.V. Starr Community Center from 4-6 p.m.
