FORT BRAGG, CA., 6/9/26 — The city of Fort Bragg has installed two sets of binoculars for viewing the scenic views along the Coastal Trail near Glass Beach, the city said Thursday.
Both pairs of binoculars are free for the public to use to view the ocean, cliffs, birds and marine life with enhanced clarity and detail, meant to enrich recreation experiences, the city said.
Each set of binoculars has 360-degree rotation and a 30-degree vertical viewing range.
One set of binoculars is located at the North Coastal Trail, south of Glass Beach and next to the picnic table area and provides 20-times magnification. The other is on the South Coastal Trail, west of the parking lot and provides 10-times magnification. The Coastal Trail in Fort Bragg starts at Elm Street at Glass Beach.
The binoculars were made possible with the help of the Blue Zones Project, an Adventist Health organization.
