MENDOCINO CO., 5/8/26 — A magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck Mendocino County early Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake hit around 5:15 a.m. Pacific Time, about 3 miles east-northeast of Covelo, the U.S.G.S said.
The earthquake was recorded at a very shallow depth and was felt in parts of the surrounding region, according to preliminary data, including Ukiah.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
