UKIAH, CA., 4/2/26 — The Mendocino County Superior Court has announced a photography contest for a photography show to be mounted in the county’s new courthouse, now in construction on Perkins Street in Ukiah. The courthouse is expected to open in the summer of 2027.
Photographers of all levels are invited to donate their best work, as long as they are residents of Mendocino County, in the following seven categories:
- Mendocino Coastline
- Mendocino Redwoods
- Significant Mendocino Landmarks
- Tribal Communities in Mendocino
- People of Mendocino County, past and present
- Wildlife – Birds, Marine Life, Animals
- Mendocino Agriculture and Industry
Each photo must be submitted physically as well as digitally if taken with a digital camera. Mail or drop off photos to Mendocino County Superior Court, Photography Contest, 100 N. State Street, Room 303, Ukiah, CA 95482. Full criteria and rules can be viewed here.
The deadline for submitting photos is July 31. The top two photos from each category will be printed and displayed in the new courthouse building next year. Winning photos will be chosen by a panel of judges from local museums and art schools.
