MENDOCINO CO., 3/11/26 – The Mendocino County Special Education Local Plan Area Community Advisory Committee is inviting families to share their experiences with special education services through an anonymous online survey.Â
The survey is open to parents, guardians, foster parents and other close family members of students who have requested, received or recently completed special education services in Mendocino County.
Organizers say the feedback will help guide county decisions on staffing, resources and individualized education plans for students with special needs.
The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete, and responses will be compiled into a countywide report before the end of the school year. Families with more than one student in special education are encouraged to submit a separate survey for each child, as each child’s experience may be different
Responses will be compiled into a countywide report to help inform decisions about staffing, resource allocation, and individualized education plans. The results will also aid training for educators and support staff.
The survey is available in English and Spanish at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe9SsSdKkHR1sMmiiY3jLJC6sAIDgtktVktjyN-LHmhe0YA3A/viewform.
Questions about the survey can be directed to mendocinocac@mendoselpa.us or (707) 467-5170. More information about the committee is available at https://sites.google.com/mcoe.us/mendocinoselpacac/about-sobre.
