WILLITS, CA., 3/10/26—Award-winning actress, solo performer and Mendocino County treasure Sherry Glaser performs in her latest work, Life and Death – A Love Story, at the Willits Community Theatre March 14-15. Glaser is the creator and star of the longest-running one-woman show in Off-Broadway history, “Family Secrets,” and cult classic Oh My Goddess! In her latest ground-breaking work, Glaser offers an extra dark comedy with a musical flair.
Born in New York, Glaser mines her own life for material, often in solo roles. A longtime activist, Glaser has performed at San Quentin Rehabilitation Center and is a founding member of Breasts Not Bombs. She often performs comedy in and around Mendocino County.
In the new play directed by Mendocino Theater Company veteran Ricci Dedola, Patience Wilson, played by Glaser, suffers a stroke and must confront her own mortality, in the form of death himself, played by Willits Community Theatre newcomer Juan Wulff. Glaser elevates and translates the experience into a comedic and unique revelation: Can life and death reconcile their differences and find love?
Shows are Saturday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 15 at 2:00 p.m. at Willits Community Theatre, 37 W. Van Lane, Willits. Tickets are $25 and are available online at www.wctperformingartscenter.org or at the door.
