MENDOCINO CO., 3/24/26 – Protests will take place across Mendocino County on Saturday as part of what is expected to be over 3,000 nationwide demonstrations, according to event organizers.

Over 190 organizations from across the country formed a coalition called No Kings to promote the events. The coalition has organized protests across the country in response to President Donald Trump’s second administration. Saturday’s No Kings protest will be the third nationwide demonstration called for by the coalition.

Indivisible Ukiah, a grassroots activist group, will lead the Ukiah protest on Saturday in response to what the group calls “President Trump’s increasing authoritarianism and federal abuses,” including matters ranging from federal immigration policies to the war in Iran.

Group organizer Janet Rosen calls the protests “largely symbolic.”

“Some chant slogans and some stand quietly bearing witness,” she said in a press release,” “Each of us finds the activist path that resonates within, and together we form community. Showing up can be a first step in more active, positive engagement.”

According to the No Kings website, demonstrations are planned Saturday, March 28, in Ukiah, Fort Bragg, Mendocino, Willits, Point Arena and Gualala. Events are also planned in neighboring communities of Cloverdale, Lakeport and Garberville.

No known counterprotests or Trump rallies were scheduled as of Tuesday.

    1. dave,
Get your spineless self off your keyboard and make something of your pathetic self and get down to the local recruiting office and sign up for your pedos war….turn your words into action

    2. “Trump Derangement Syndrome” is trusting this pedophile regime. I don’t know who you are, Dave, but know I don’t respect you as a man and that I wish people like you would get out of this community and country. You disgust me.

    3. I love the replies from the diversity, equity and inclusion crowd. Their insults really show the bright side of their character.

    4. To TDS:

The replies are on point for treasonous scumbags and enablers of the standing regime. DEI doesn’t protect rapists and pedophiles, sorry, not sorry.

  1. There seems to be one pro rally and three against. Why don’t you look up all of the pros and cons and maybe you’ll learn something. That would be so nice for Mendocino County

    1. The far-right has no way to combat anyone with speech because they know what’s happening is wrong and they voted for the downfall of this country. TDS is The Daily Show. It’s all they have while we pay $70 for half a tank of gas

    1. The war was started by Iran in 1979. Trump is ending it.
A President Harris would give Iran billions of dollars and plans for a nuclear intercontinental missile as long as they “promised” not to ever use it.

  2. Every single Republican should be out there fighting for freedom with this no kings rally. Trump has destroyed the party. They are spineless at the top. They all want to wear gold ties now not red white or blue. Total cowards. The GOP should be eliminated and a reform party built on the ashes. A new party that focuses on constitutional rights and freedoms. They are robbing our children of a future. They are destroying our relationships with our neighbors across the globe. The Democratic Party sucks as well because they can’t say that their opponents are lost to a doomsday cult. But that’s what we have . A doomsday cult in control of our government. Bad.

    1. What you call a doomsday cult is actually the patriots that believe that this country is as exceptional as it really is, in spite of the liberal opposition that is bent on destroying it with their Socialistic (really Comunist) policies. And when you call someone spineless you should have some idea of who you are talking too. Don’t know how young and ignorant the OutOfThisWorld person is that said people are spineless and should march down to their recruiter’s office but I did that i `970 and am still proud of my military service to this nation. Maybe this person should do the same but probably is not old enough, smart enough, or capable of actually supporting a nation that has given them everything.

      communist) agenda

  3. Donald Trump was elected by a majority of the popular and the electoral vote. He was elected by people who want to see common sense in governance. He has secured the border. He is attempting to deport criminals who were allowed in by the previous president. He wants to end sanctuary cities which free criminals to commit crime after crime after crime. He is trying to bringing manufacturing back which means more jobs, after previous presidents made trade deals that sent jobs elsewhere. He wants to end Iran’s inevitable move toward nuking America. (These are the guys yelling “death to America” and were building nukes to do it.) He isn’t the most likeable guy, but he is doing what will make us strong and safe. Short term pain with the war and prices. Long term benefits. I like him and so do lots of other people.

    1. Not the majority of people, just the most votes. More people voted against Trump than for him. And according to polls, theres a lot of buyer’s regret, at least among Independents, as his approval ratings keep dropping as his disastrous policies are mounting. Following a president with record job growth, Trump’s tariffs have killed any type of job creation. He’s singlehandedly making prices higher. His authoritarianism is testing the Constitution as it’s never been tested before. We support the Constitution when we protest Trump.

  4. Mass Formation Psychosis” will be on display! Trump lives rent free in their “narrow interpretation of reality” brains!

  5. The Constitution makes this country great. Standing up for it against those who break their oath to it is not psychosis, but patriotism.

    1. Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is a mental health condition. Its behavior is observed by intense hostility or paranoia linked to opposition to his presidency. Symptoms are common among the participants in violent street protests. The range of dysfunctional behavior can be be as minor as comments seen here or as severe as an assassination attempt. Trump is the constitutionally elected President of the United States. Patriotism is supporting the people’s election outcome.

    2. Mass formation psychosis is a term used to describe a phenomenon where a large group of people become highly fixated on a specific idea, belief, or leader. lt often suggests a collective psychological state of fear and social pressures and can trigger irrational behavior in groups. A historical example of mass formation psychosis includes the Salem Witch Trials, where mass hysteria led to accusations of witchcraft and the execution of many innocent people.

    3. A psychotherapist recently wrote about No Kings Day: “At their core, the rallies resemble bad group therapy—gatherings that offer validation, solidarity and emotional release. They feel good in the moment. Participants vent, find reinforcement among like-minded people, and leave feeling heard and aligned. The experience can seem productive, even clarifying. But like bad group therapy, it stops at validation. The feelings are processed but not challenged, reinforced but not examined. There is relief but little resolution, and the underlying problems remain. It offers the feeling of progress without the substance of it.”
Nothing changes but it sure feels good.

  6. I’m back. Why do the leftists hate so much? Instead of the political campaign rally an Anger Management session would benefit a lot of them. It sure seems like some are very close to physical violence. Why is that? Oh, it’s only political disagreement.
I am calmly contented. Not angry with anyone. I growing more fond of Trump with every success, every day. Peace in the Middle East? Maybe, under Trump. If Harris or Biden were President right now would Iran’s nuclear program still be growing, perhaps a nuclear missile ready to launch? How many more millions of illegal immigrants would have entered the country by now? I would be angry and depressed too if we were living under Democrat President right now! On Saturday I will be thankful we have President Trump!

  7. Maybe 20 or 30 people lined main street Willits today. When they are spread out like that there is no emotional high of validation that comes with a large mob all together praising each other. Either way, nothing really changes.
A little background: A Fox News Digital investigation finds the “No Kings” protests are backed by a network of about 500 groups with an estimated $3 billion in annual revenue, including communist and socialist organizations calling for “revolution.” A Democratic political advocacy organization funded by billionaire George Soros, is the lead coordinator for the protest, as well as, a network of radical socialist and communist organizations funded by Neville Roy Singham, an American tech tycoon and avowed communist living in China. Don’t be a “useful idiot” to these people.
