UKIAH, CA., 2/17/26 — This week’s Featured Pet is Gunny, available for adoption through the Ukiah Animal Shelter.
At 10 years young, Gunny is a distinguished gentleman of the Lab variety — equal parts sweet, social, and slightly set in his ways (hey, he’s earned it!). This friendly guy loves people and is always up for a good head scratch or some quality couch time. Gunny’s retirement goals? A cozy home, soft bed, steady meals, and humans who appreciate his charm. He’s not looking for drama — just peace, love, and maybe a few (AKA lots of) treats. In his previous home, he wasn’t too thrilled about sharing dinner time with another dog, so he’d prefer to dine solo like the classy fellow he is. If you have room in your heart (and a comfy spot on your couch) for a lovable old soul, Gunny’s ready to rest his bones and call you family. Gunny weighs 73 lovable pounds.
