MENDOCINO CO., 1/2/26 – PG&E has extended its Match My Payment program into 2026, offering financial relief to Mendocino County residents who are behind on their energy bills, the utility said earlier this month.

The program provides a dollar-for-dollar match of up to $1,000 for qualifying low- to moderate-income customers who make payments toward past-due balances, helping prevent power or gas service shutoffs.

Customers can receive multiple matches throughout the year by paying at least $50 toward a balance of $100 or more. PG&E said the program will continue while funds last.

PG&E is also continuing its REACH, or Relief for Energy Assistance through Community Help, program, which offers up to $300 in emergency bill credits for income-eligible customers facing utility disconnections.

Customers who qualify for REACH are automatically eligible for Match My Payment, meaning eligible households could receive up to $1,300 in combined assistance, PG&E said.

According to the utility, the two programs have provided nearly $22 million in assistance to more than 60,000 customers statewide since launching in June.

For more information and to determine eligibility, customers can visit PG&E’s pge.com/billhelp or call 1 (877) 660-6789.
