WILLITS, CA., 12/2/25 – Willits Economic Localization, or WELL, will host its year-end “Fill Your Bowl and Refresh Your Soul” event Sunday.
Guests can enjoy handcrafted organic soups, including vegan options, made by WELL volunteers and Marie Blancas, a Willits caterer and owner of Moon Lady. The soups will be paired with fresh baked bread from Emandal Farm and Reza’s Breadery.
WELL volunteers will also share the year’s organizational highlights and what the group has planned for 2026 and beyond.
Founded in 2004, WELL’s mission is “to foster the creation of a local, sustainable economy in the Willits area by helping residents learn valuable skills and take action, and by partnering with other organizations to share knowledge and support projects that build a thriving community.”
The organization has helped lead community efforts in sustainable economic development for more than two decades. From film festivals to election-year “meet the candidate” events, WELL’s work ranges from communitywide holistic wellness programs to addressing climate change impacts locally.
According to WELL, upcoming projects will focus on improved walkability and bikeability in the city, hosting town hall meetings, local food events, youth engagement, improving services for people with mental health challenges or experiencing homelessness, and emergency preparedness.
Fill Your Bowl and Refresh Your Soul is free and takes place Sunday, Dec. 7, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Willits Hub, 630 S. Main St., Willits. For more information, contact mstrong827@outlook.com.
