MENDOCINO CO., 12/24/25 – Wet and windy weather continues to batter Mendocino County, with brief respites sprinkled in between. Flooding and power outages are making for a less-than-pleasant Christmas week.

Stormy weather continues through Friday
According to the National Weather Service, rain will lighten Wednesday morning, allowing homeowners time to inspect their properties and walk their dogs. However, another strong storm is on the horizon and is expected to bring an additional 3 to 6 inches of rain — and up to 9 inches in some areas — by Friday.
A flood watch remains in effect through Friday night, as multiple rounds of rain and short bursts of heavy rainfall could lead to localized flooding, the NWS said.
No snow is expected, as temperatures remain in the 40s and 50s through Friday. Travelers heading north to Trinity County for the holiday should take note: A winter storm warning is in effect for the entire county through 10 p.m. Friday.
Ukiah saw more than double its normal rainfall Tuesday
The NWS reported that Ukiah received 0.60 inches of rain Tuesday, more than double its normal precipitation. The mountains just east of Manchester recorded 2.51 inches, the highest total in the county.
Storm impacts include road closures, downed trees and power outages
More than 9,500 PG&E customers remained without power as of Wednesday morning.
The California Highway Patrol reported downed trees blocking roadways, traffic collisions and roadway flooding throughout the county.
Cameron Road east of Elk is closed at Greenwood Road, the CHP reported.
