UKIAH, CA., 12/2/25 – This week’s Featured Pet is Rowdy, available for adoption through the Ukiah Animal Shelter.
Meet Rowdy—our barn cat with a big personality! Rowdy is not your typical lap cat — he’s got his own rules. He doesn’t enjoy being picked up, which makes him a tough fit for our adoption floor. He lives in that gray area: not quite feral, but not the cuddly house cat type either.
Rowdy’s adoption fees are waived because he’s considered a barn cat, and he’s likely to be a fantastic mouser! Rowdy has a few feline friends with similar temperaments who are also ready to go home. Come down anytime the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday and meet Rowdy and all of our cats—house and barn!
