WILLITS, CA., 11/20/25 – The Little Lake Grange will host a workshop Sunday to teach hungry and busy folks how to prepare tasty and healthy one-pot meals.

The free, three-hour workshop comes at a time when many families and singles alike are trying to make ends meet amid rising costs, from groceries to utilities.

Nutritionist and natural cooking instructor Annie Waters will share simple, quick and easy recipes using fresh produce and staple foods.

Waters will provide tips on storing and cooking grains and beans, how to manage unattended cooking (“set it and forget it”), shopping frugally, growing your own food and how to get three meals from a whole chicken.

“Come if you want to win the free slow cooker, or if you’d like to leave with a pound of free black beans,” Waters said in a social media post about the event. “It’s all free and we want you to learn how to spend less time, less money, and feed your family with quality nutrition!”

“Fast, Fresh and Frugal” takes place Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Little Lake Grange, 291 School St., Willits. Sign-up is required by texting or calling (707) 889-2449.
