MENDOCINO CO., 11/12/25 – The Mendocino Coast Mushroom Club will hold its second-annual Fungi Festival and Cultural Convergence this weekend at the Caspar Community Center, inviting foragers and friends to explore the colorful world of mushrooms. 

The event, which will feature workshops, local vendors, food and presentations, will be held Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

On the mushroom club’s website, the event description states: “Bringing together scientists, poets, authors, artists, craftspeople, farmers, foragers, land stewards, guides and the myco-curious in a two-day cultural convergence to explore and celebrate mushrooms and their many uses. Our incredibly talented and creative locals will be joined by notable guest speakers to share their stories and knowledge with you.” 

The event is a fundraiser for the mushroom club and will help the volunteer-run group fund future events and promote awareness of the various kinds of mushrooms in Mendocino County.
