MENDOCINO CO., 11/22/25 – The National Weather Service in Eureka issued a frost advisory Saturday for northern Mendocino County.

The advisory is in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday and includes Willits and the communities of Laytonville, Brooktrails, Leggett, Potter Valley, Piercy and Covelo. It also extends into Humboldt and Trinity counties.

Temperatures as low as 34 degrees are possible, the weather service said.

Proper shelter should be provided for people, pets and plants.

The agency warned that frost can harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. The weather service advises covering the plants to protect them from potential damage.
