MENDOCINO CO., 10/14/25—The Mendocino County chapter of the League of Women Voters will hold an informational meeting Tuesday from 6:00-7:30 p.m. about Proposition 50. The proposition, now on the November ballot, was passed by the state legislature and signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom. It would make temporary changes to congressional districts prior to the 2026 midterm elections.
League board members will cover the reasons for the measure, details on how it would be implemented, who supports and opposes it, and what the changes would mean for Mendocino County. There will be time for questions, and the meeting will be recorded for later access.
This November election is an all mail-in ballot election. Ballots were sent to registered voters on October 6; non-registered voters may still register until October 20. After that, it is still possible to vote a provisional ballot up until election day, November 4.
The Zoom meeting is Tuesday, October 14, 6:00-7:30 p.m. The link for the Zoom meeting can be found here.
