The recall was ordered by California state veterinarian Dr. Annette Jones after listeria monocytogenes was detected in the firm’s raw goat milk cheddar cheese.

The order applies to “Sierra Nevada Bella Capra Goat Cheese, Raw Milk Goat Cheddar,” which is sold in 6-ounce blocks packaged in clear plastic wrap. The lot code is 90423255 with a Sell By date of 5/29/26.
